It would seem that being stuck inside on a sunny day playing World of Warcraft isn’t enough. A company named Vollee is set on bringing WoW to the iPhone community. They are doing this by streaming the game to the phone, instead of allowing it to render on the phone in order to reduce lag.
Playing the game is handled via their VolleeX software. Rumor is that they are in talks with Apple and Blizzard about making this happen sometime very soon.
Now I try to think of a scenario where this would be good, and I struggled for a bit. However grinding, watching your auctions, and most importantly achievements for holiday events that are on 1 hour cooldowns like the trick or treat during Halloween where you want to maximize your time in getting masks.
I don’t see this as viable for raiding or doing instances, but for mundane tasks like farming herbs, mining, killing a ton of mobs, maybe even dailies, it would be fun on a lunch break to get it taken care of.
And I would be a horrible person if I didn’t mention what everyone was already thinking…WoW…on the toilet. Don’t deny it you thought of it too.
